Raffle Quilts

Each year the members of the Springwood Quilt Show committee make a quilt as the first prize in the show's raffle. The raffle quilt is also entered into the NSW Quilter's Guild Show held in Sydney where the quilts have won numerous ribbons. Patterns are available for most of the quilts, email us at springwoodquiltshow@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Named as a tribute to the early patchwork pioneers of Australia and also a commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the crossing of the Blue Mountains.

To mark the 7th annual Quilt Show the raffle quilt was made with Seven Sister blocks. Shades of blue were used in honour of the Blue Mountains.

2011 - Mountain Magic
Designed by art quilter Petal Davies. A snap shot of a famous Blue Mountains view of the 3 Sisters rock formation made with various textiles. For more photos and details about this quilt read the blog post here.

This stunning floral quilt was designed by Anne Sommerlad

2008 - Alice's Tea Party
A beautiful applique quilt designed by Lyn Alchin.  Alice's Tea Party won 1st prize in the group category at the 2008 Sydney Quilt Show. It was very sadly destroyed in the October 2013 fires at Winmalee.
