SPRINGWOOD COMMUNITY QUILT SHOW 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY and INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS

  • Entries are invited for quilts of every size and type – pieced, appliquéd and whole cloth.
  • Other pieced/quilted items that can be hung are also welcome.
  • Whilst all care will be taken in handling and display of entries, no financial responsibility can be accepted in the event of loss or damage.
  • Photos of the quilt display may later be used in articles and promotions. 
ENTRIES
  • Entries are invited from all interested quilters and will be accepted until 17 March 2017 Late entries cannot be accepted due to the organisational requirements of the Show. All items entered should:
    • Not have been previously exhibited at the Springwood Community Quilt Show.
    • Have an identifying label with your name and the item name securely attached.
    • Have provision for hanging, i.e., a rod pocket of at least 8 cm / 3 ins depth.
  • For online entries, please list your entries in order of preference. Quilt #1 = first choice.
  • For postal entries, use a separate Entry Form for each item. For each entry, circle a number (1, 2, 3) indicating your preference for inclusion of each item in the event that we are unable to display all entries submitted.

  • An email message will be sent in confirmation of acceptance of your entry approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the Show. Entrants who do not provide an email address should presume acceptance of their Entry unless otherwise advised by phone. 

AS A PARTICIPANT IN THE QUILT SHOW YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME WE CAN’T RUN THE SHOW WITHOUT YOU!! 

  • We ask all entrants to consider providing 2-3 hours of their time over the show period.
  • A few hours of your time assists in maintaining the quality and size of the Show. With your help we raised $8,000 for the Blue Mountains RFS in 2016.
  • All volunteers will be eligible for entry into special prize draws.
  • Please indicate on the Entry Form the days/times that you can assist. We can’t run the show without you! 

DELIVERY OF QUILTS 

  • Quilts should be delivered to the Springwood High School Hall between 9.30 am and 12:00 noon on Thursday, 27 April 2017.
  • Items not received within these times may not be displayed.

COLLECTION OF QUILTS


  • Quilts will not be available for collection until at least 60 minutes after close of the Show on Sunday. You will be given an indicative time between 5-6pm. Between 4-5pm, as the display and trading tables are disassembled, for safety reasons you will not be able to wait in the hall or in the foyer, regardless of the weather. 
  • Receipts must be presented to the Committee in the hall foyer for collection of items. 
  • A committee worker will assist in collection of your quilts. 
  • For the security of all items, please do not enter the hall unaccompanied during this time.
