2017 Quilt Show Round Up

2017 Show Round Up

What a great show we have had in 2017! Thank you to so many of you who came along to the show, our extremely helpful volunteers and our dedicated committee members who have been able to create a unique and special stand out show.

This year we had a range of quilts modern, traditional, pictorial, large and small and each day the viewers choice prize was awarded. Our winners were-

Friday- Kyeen McPherson
Saturday- Ann Langley
Sunday- Rachel Daisy

We had the lovely Anne Sommerlad as our feature quilter this year. Anne had all her beautiful quilts on display exhibiting her expertise and diverse range of work. Thank you Anne for being a part of our show. We look forward to seeing many more quilts in the future.

Our raffle quilt "Cherry Time" was designed by Anne Sommerlad and made by the Springwood Community Quilt Show committee members. It had a value of around $2000 and was first prize in our raffle. Thank you to all our sponsors who donated prizes to the raffle and viewers choice.

Our Raffle winners are-

1st Prize- Julie Edwards. Congratulations to Julie who won the beautiful Cherry Time quilt.
2nd Prize- Molly Slaytor
3rd Prize- Jenny Jones

Our Lucky Door Prize winner is- Dawn Harrison

Congratulations to all the winners!

Many Thank Yous!

Thank you to all our volunteers, the organising committee, fantastic stall holders, volunteers from QuiltNSW and all those who helped to make our show a success! With all of your help we have been able to raise around $10,000 for the RFS and the Springwood High School textile department! Without the many hands of friends we are not able to run an event that is so treasured by the quilting community of the Blue Mountains region. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
